Apple Sauce

Ingredients
  • 5-6 large apples
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 cups water
  • Honey to sweeten 
Kitchen Equipment
  • I used an apple peeler that also removes the core and cut the apples (new gadget at home)
  • Pot for cooking the apples
  • Knife to cut the apples in smaller pieces
  • Potato masher to mash the apples with the butter

Peel and core the apples.  You can use a peeler and apple corer, or a gadget like this one, which I bought online in Amazon.

Cut the apples into smaller pieces.

Cook the apples in water until soft.

Take off the heat, remove most of the water and add butter.

Cool down and mash with the potato masher.

Sweeten with honey to your taste.

 

Keep the apple sauce in a container inside the fridge.

Apple sauce tastes great with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
